Why do you love The Flipside?

PHIGHTING has been my special interest for a whole year now, and music has been my main special interest since i was 5 years old. but my interest in real music has never stopped me from getting attached to fictional musicians (e.g Leo/need, Jem and The Holograms, Sex Bob-Omb, The Broomer Boys) and so I found myself falling in love with Flipside's music! i always felt like i could see myself in Valk and relate to him, making him my favourite member! I love projecting onto Valk AKJSFBAKSJDBF anyways. I really hope that we get more lore of Dom & Valk someday and get to know more about them! Because I think I already know all of their trivia so I must turn to my headcanons. I like to listen to music and imagine Dom & Valk singing songs that I think would fit right into the group... or some songs that are just my personal taste COUGH COUGH slayyyter COUGH. But I'm really excited to hopefully get more content of the duo and their story once Crossroads gets its makeover ^_^

My favourite song from the Flipside (and from the OST in general) will always be TAKE YOUR TIME, I think it's their best song!! GROOVAHOLIC is a very close second fav though!

Although I wasn't there for most of the Phestivals, I think my favourite Phestival outfits were Dove vs. Crow! Especially Dove Valk... sighhhh... so dreamy....

My personal favourite voice actors who've dubbed Flipside in the past are NeedAHugMan's Valk and 43internet's Dom! I really miss NeedAHugMan his dubs were awesome! And really funny.. Maybe because I miss Phandub....

Random stuff I know about The Flipside

• This was only ever stated on Aidn's Twitter which is why it's not common knowledge, but their debut single was THE FLIPSIDE released in 3097, they went on to release an EP of the same name in the same year, with STRIKE OF LUCK and FEEL THE BURN, and GROOVAHOLIC was their 2nd single released in 3098. BREAKNECK BROADCAST is their 3rd single which debuted with 7 million streams! What the fuck happened to TAKE YOUR TIME? We may never know.
• BREAKNECK BROADCAST was originally called AERO ALL-OUT BRAWL and was intended to be the theme for Roblox HQ before SKYLINE got in the game. The song has over 10 different demos.
• Sodakettle confirmed that Flipside have made some more sadder tracks, but kept them unreleased. All this fact does is make me curious and want to hear the songs. It's one of my favourite trivia.
• They did a cover of Fly Octo Fly from Splatoon! There's a lot of Flipside covers out there, but only a few are made by the official game composers.
• Dom is implied to have autism! A good example of this is that he is described as sarcastic and monotonous by others in his humour and conversation.
• Dom also wears binders to appear more androgynous!
• Dom & Valk taught their cousin, Banhammer, how to play the guitar!
• Valk is the main composer and lyricist for the group, while Dom sticks to doing strictly vocals.
• Aidn assigned both of them Lady Gaga songs! With Valk being Just Dance and Dom being Dance In The Dark!
• The reason I didn't put it in Dom's playlist is because the song is locked beheind Soundcloud Premium. Fuck you SoundCloud.
• Aside from idol work, Dom is an artist and likes to draw! He also stated that he enjoys doing dress up for performances... implying him & Valk might both be into drag!
• They design their own outfits for the phestivals, with some help from Paint Bucket. They even have such good makeup skills that they can change the look of their wings!

Headcanons!

• The first Phestival to include custom outfits was Ice Cream vs. Popsicle. I like to think that before then, they only had enough budget to buy their current outfits in different colours. Rave vs. Relax was when they got enough budget to add glitter to it.
• Valk and Dom's gears did not originally have the wings and colours. They just modified their gears to make them look cute :3
• I'm also in the Just Dance fandom so I like to think that Valk would be really good at Just Dance and his favourite level would be Sushi (Extreme). Dom's favourite level would be Feel Special, and he'd play with Valk and be good too but Valk would be better anyway.
• Also: I didn't know that Aidn posted Dom & Valk dancing to Feel Special until after I came up with this headcanon. Oh my god.
• More projecting!! Valk doesn't paint his nails because he has OCD and has a compulsion to trim his nails really short. Dom likes to paint them however, and Valk tries stick-on acrylics instead.
